Monday morning blues

Its fifteen to nine,

I jump into my Car

Press the accelerator

Hope I’ll reach on time.

The roads are mad as usual

I suddenly wish to be a sleek reptile

To Crawl through bright burning Machines

That give out smoke and smell foul.

Its now 12 to nine.

My foot is no more with the accelerator.

All three of us are still passive and cold

The RJ sounds as monotonous as the traffic time.

Right Across da road, I envy the others for whom

The Traffic signal greens and so do I with envy.

A beggar girl watches em all flaccidly

Something has to be eaten soon.

Alas!You dreamer of Day,

Too soon than you imagined

The pricey SUV has subdued you

Under its tyres in black and gray

This may be was your Destiny Foretold,

Your Parents should be…

(But Do they even exist???)

And where is the SUV In paint Gold???

I think Some Crowd has Gathered around her

She may survive if some good samaritan comes across

That is if she is alive by da time.

I can even see a huge pool of blood over there.

Anyway the signal has mercifully gone green

I would have Died in this summer morning heat

Why to think bout what has not happened???

I jus avoid such incidents to be seen.

Dreaming solitude

Let me and my dreams alone,

Alone by the grugling cascade,

Where water shall reflect

Me to my silent dreams

Oft in a starry night,

I woke up to myself and ask,

To where do I do and what do I seek

If to achieve was to lose,

then what did I gain?

Summer went,winter came

Time flew like storms devast houses.

Still pondering over achievements,

I hoped to decide…

To lose and gain or to gain and lose

I am to no one and no one is to me

Then why do I stand

On barren and lonely crossroads

Without any light

To follw rules and bound to ties

Is not what I seek

My destiny lies in solitude

Waiting to mate with my dreams meek.

I am to my Dreams what solitude

Is to my imagination bleak.

Faaltooest verses

Accidental Flashes

The songs have lost all meanings,
They mean nothing but
vain pomp and unmusical beats

On a larger scale
They are defined as
My life without you

Break my heart since
it can't stop loving you
so much that it doesn't realize

There may be some time
In the lonely, winter, distant air
I may just vainly,desperately
try to hate you, loathe you
jus may try...

Meteorite my earth
Make it hard
Break it without mercy
Oh!Come on...Please..

------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------

O Graceful Almighty! Give me strength
to reach out to my soul
Let me carry it with me
whenever I step out
I don't want to become like them
They are good but not me

My verses are like my mind
Wandering, undecisive and weary
Help me gain a light
Let me have faith in you

Where do I seek inspiration from
Its all celebrated
What I seek is very ordinary
........I think I give up......

------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

I think, therefore I am
I am witty thats what I think
But what am I?

"Witty" cries my mind aloud
A child's eyes seem more proud
All long the mellow solitude
I think what I write is not worth a penny

A train going off the track
I have to say so much
Time seems short so does the paper
I am grasping for breath
Help...Hold...Fire, my soul burns

What is this existance
Our Intellect is but a bird of gold
That isn't allowed to nurture
in this sly world real
And so,Wit is no more pivot than sense.

The world has kissed my soul with its pain,
asking for its return in verses.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
---------------------------------------------------------------------

It was always lying there
in the womb of my soul
Like a prisoner behind the bars
Like being there without
knowing its own identity.

When people asked about it
I used to stare or stammer
Like an eight year old
Upon a shooting star

Now I know
I have a goal in life
To prove, To win, to survive

Mask of gaiety

Today I can cry

Tearing apart the hood of gaiety

Peeling away the foil of mirth

Crushing to bits the mask of laughter

I smile, I speak

I seem to be basking in the glow of the sun

Oh! But I have a heart like you

And you thought it never felt any gloom

I can’t complain for long,

I can’t sing my mournful song

You seem to be away…far away

You can’t listen to me and I have a lot to say

But no longer I need to laugh or speak

It is sheer solitude that I seek,

My eyes will silently comfort the grief of my heart

Covering its wound is after all no less than art.

I...a statue

It’s a storeroom of statues

Near the extention of Aravallies,

A little room of twenty nine statues

The little store keeper is restless

He sits on his chair

Then stands up.

He keeps his specs and dusting brush

And attempts to liven up the statues

To make them viceless humans

(Vice less humans ?...ha! ha! ha! ha!)

Again he waves his hands,

The statues are statues

No movements...

Let me tell you a secret,

The statues would come to life

Only when the keeper would leave

He mutters something now

Counts the statues

Leaves…

The statues brighten up now,

The cheer, the laugh,the shout

It’s an interesting show

The door opens now,

Enter another statue…

In the storeroom,

My Classroom…I a statue

Ode to my pen

Standing erect,

Held close to my heart

It flows… flows through the

Realms of my imagination…

My despair

Kissing the paper with its brazen tips,

Brazen, blue, venomous lips,

Soils the white emptiness of the paper

Makes it worthy of my possess forever

My wand, my magic, my Knight in shining armor

Thou art my friend, confidante…

My sole companion here.

Summer, spring, winter, rain,

Name the season when you weren’t there,

To soothe me, comfort me, cheer me,

Bring me victory in pains and moments dear.

I remember the days, noons and twilights

When the world held me out of its sight,

When you came to my rescue,

Gave me reason to carry on… in words so few.

Today the world wants to be in my sight

There is no lonely darkness in this array of light.

But this journey, this saga of ours shall be history.

What makes me write these lines…?

To me is still a mystery

All I feel is that you are deserting me…

Deserting the path of your existence

And I stand here helpless,

You perish while I try to conquer my inner mayhem.

Your life is but in drops fated few

When they shall be gone

You shall be away,

Far to a distance unsought.

And there shall be a new one,

Trying to replace you and your memories

I shall find you in none

For sacred are the thoughts that brought us together in peace.

Ode to my doggie:)

Stand by me…

Rip apart the need of words

Stolen away from the heart yet skeptic

Yearning for solace…

Not in words but in your presence

The secret weep of my heart

Is what I unfold today

To thank you, to cherish you

To reveal what my words could never say

I ain’t the Latin American poet

Who glides through expressions profound

I’m but a humble soul

Struggling to find the words unbound

It was when the world stood aloof

Far, at a distance, giving me unwanted solitude

I was trying to find answers,

For questions that refused to get me understood

Oh! What mayhem, what bizarre

What venomous solitude was that

When I needed them the most

Unflinching suffering was what came back.

That was when you stood by me

Stood by me through mayhems innumerable

Comforted me through tears unforgettable

Helped me feel what it was to be loved n cared for

Helped me feel what it was like to be felt for

Now what shall I call that slide of time

Tears bought along the alchemy of your support…

As if I was never meant to be deprived

Destiny plans its tune in accord surprised

What was that oasis of your stand?

When you defined the world to stand by me,

To comfort me and hold me

Only to see me believe once more in the joke of life

Alas! The words still betray me,

This upsurge of memories still

Become the man from Polfrock

Who ruins me of my humble composure

Today, I shall need you again

Hold me…

Stay by me and I shall withstand

Any blow of this rakish time

A poet feels powerless by your presence

For he too needs words to create essence

The glow of your warm soul leaves me as tranquil

As a dip in Nerudian poetic Bowl.

The winter sun

The Winter sun

As the frozen breath rose from my lazy yawn,
I saw the austere sun kiss the sky of dawn,
Through the misty windows, I saw,
Fair skins shielded by fur and yarn.

My vision is still, the air is frozen,
My soul yearns for nothing more,
Than the warmth of the winter sun.

There was some fire in the mind,
It died slowly, amid souls cold and unkind.

This too shall pass; spring shall brings some flowers,
Don’t be elated, O winter sun,
When the summer comes, they will hate you greater
